Students at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp are able to select 5 classes, throughout any of the disciplines, to take during Camp. The classes meet daily and are slightly over an hour in length. Many of the classes are designed for exploration and are open to anyone regardless of experience. In addition, many classes are designed for the more advanced student and have prerequisites or require audition or submission of work samples. The Sitka Fine Arts Camp offers an incredible selection of classes taught by extraordinary teachers and artists.

Students must already be registered to log onto the online class sign-up form. Students must also indicate a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice for every period.
Sitka Fine Arts Camp MINI Camp classes: The Mini Camp meets for half days from 8:30 to 12. Students all attend four classes a day covering music, theater, dance, and the visual arts.

Middle School Concert Band Audition requirements: Each instrumental audition includes 4 options. Please select options

Middle/High School Jazz Band & Jazz Combos Audition requirements: Bb and F Blues Scale; Bb and F Major scales; Chromatic scale (lowest to highest note); “B-flat Shuffle Blues” from vol. 54 Aebersold; Rhythm section: 8 measure grooves: swing, bossa nova, waltz, funk, rock. Drummers play the above and then solo for 4 measures. Ex. – Play swing for 8 measures, solo, play swing, solo.
Middle/High School Chamber Orchestra for Strings Seating Audition:
Please have prepared a piece representative of your ability.
Middle/High School String Lessons Audition requirements:
Please have prepared a solo piece and a 3-octave major scale of your
choice (4 notes to a bow).
