Dee Daniels Vocal Jazz Workshop
Train your voice with the best. Dee Daniels, one of the great jazz vocalists of our time, will guide students in the world of vocal jazz performance including melodic and rhythmic exploration, developing repertoire, the art of scat, performance presentation, personal grounding techniques, and a crash course in the music business. Charenee Wade, 2010 first runner-up of the Thelonius Monk Vocal Jazz Competition, professor of Jazz Vocal Studies at both Queens College and the Aaron Copeland School of Music at City College in New York will be Dee’s guest clinician. The workshop includes a professional concert by Dee and Charenee, as well as the opportunity for a video-taped student concert with constructive critique provided afterwards (students will have access to the video upon request). www.deedaniels.com
