Musical Theater Auditions

Auditions

All students who register will be part of the production. Students must submit all appropriate materials for their track (performance or technical theater) in an online folder. The link to the folder will be emailed after registration has been completed. Roles will be assigned on the first day of camp. If you have additional questions about auditions please contact rhiannon@fineartscamp.org

1.   You will receive an invitation to a dropbox folder with your name on it after registration has been completed. Please upload your materials to this folder.

2.   Complete the audition process (See below for detailed instructions)

3. Pay tuition by May 1st.

4. Complete your Travel Form by May 1st.

 Musical Theater Performance Track Audition:

Please upload all of these materials to the dropbox folder:

Resume: 1 page resume or list of relevant experiences

Recommendation: 1 recommendation letter from a mentor

Video: 1 video including the following:

  1. Introduction Including your name, voice part, and any instrument you play.
  2. 30 seconds to 1 minute a cappella singing of your choosing that shows off some individual style and/or range. Suggested songs are “Amazing Grace,” “The Star Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” or “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” These songs are only suggestions, and you can choose any other song you feel is appropriate. The vocal selection should not be longer than a minute.
  3. 1 minute monologue of your choice. 
  4. Short dance piece. Use the video to learn the choreography, then dance along for your audition.
  5. Selected song from your voice type, below

 Musical Theater Technical Theater Track Audition:

Please upload all of these materials to the dropbox folder:

  1. 1 page resume or list of relevant experiences
  2. 1 recommendation letter from a mentor
  3. 3-8 photos or scans of work you have done. If you do not have photos from a show, please show samples of your artwork.
