Join us for the 34th annual Sitka Fine Arts Camp! This year's camps will offer a full range of artistic subjects and creative opportunities taught by a world-class faculty of artists selected from throughout the country. Last year, 461 students from 27 communities in Alaska, 20 states, and 4 countries, attended the Camp. The Sitka Fine Arts Camp is a nationally acclaimed program-- in 2008 it received the Coming Up Taller Award presented at the White House by former First Lady Laura Bush, click for story.

Camp 2009 dates:

  • Mini-Camp (a day camp for student entering 1st through 6th grade) June 8-12
  • Middle School Session (entering grades 6th-9th) June 14- June 27
  • High School Session (entering grades 10th-13th) June 28-July 12

Visual arts, dance, music, theatre, writing, and Alaska Native Arts are the core artistic experiences available at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. At Camp you will see, hear, touch, read, and watch all the arts in motion as the campus buzzes with creative energy around you. Faculty and students will share what art means to them. At camp you can focus on your special interest subject for most of the day and still have time to explore other subjects that you want to learn about.
