Alaska Debate Forum

The Alaska Debate Forum (ADF) has arrived to teach students the fundamental skills essential to flourish in the classroom: research, oratory, and technique. Gain experience learning to develop a nuanced understanding of any and all topics; learn control of rhetorical skills and gain the confidence to execute them in an improvisational setting; and learn to master the rules of debate, both to maximize your educational returns and to substantially increase your competitive advantage.  Our periods of intense study will be broken up daily with exciting recreational activities, including an exciting foray into the wilderness at the doorstep of Sitka, AK. Immerse yourself in our week-long camp experience to share and explore the world of debate.

Sitka Fine Arts Camp is delighted to offer the first annual Alaska Debate Forum. Housed on the Sitka Fine Arts Campus, the ADF provides opportunities for high school students to work with coaches who have years of both camp and debate experience between them, including Director of Student Life Paul McGlew and former National Debate Champion Noah Star. For more information, email, or call 907-747-3085.

The Alaskan Debate Forum is an initiative to develop within the Alaskan debate community a common language and understanding of rhetoric, oratory, and technique.
